Beyond Personal Training

Why Train at Zarett Rehab?

Unlike traditional personal training, our programs incorporate manual therapy techniques typically reserved for physical therapy. This includes:

Clinical & Performance Expertise

Zarett's physical therapists and exercise physiologists work together to bridge the gap between rehabilitation and performance, taking into account each person's injury history, physical limitations, and performance goals.

Sport-Specific Training

Training is designed around the movements and physical demands of your sport or activity, not just a generic workout program.

Hands-On Care When Appropriate

Zarett's integrated approach allows physical therapy techniques and manual treatment to be incorporated when clinically appropriate.

FAQs

FAQs & Performance Prep

Does insurance cover specialty training?

If your training is part of a clinical rehabilitation plan following an injury, it may be covered under Physical Therapy benefits. Purely performance-based training is typically a self-pay service. We can help you navigate this during your evaluation.

No. Our specialty training is for anyone who is passionate about a specific activity and wants to perform it at their personal best without pain.

Wear the gear you usually train in (e.g., your running shoes or dance attire) so we can see how you move in your “natural habitat.”

Physical therapy focuses on treating pain, injury, and restoring function. Specialty training focuses on building strength, movement, and performance for a specific sport or activity. Zarett’s integrated approach allows physical therapists and exercise physiologists to work together when appropriate.

Yes. This is a key part of Zarett’s approach. Once you have progressed through rehabilitation, specialty training can help bridge the gap between being pain-free and returning confidently to your sport or activity.

Zarett provides specialty training for runners and endurance athletes, tennis and squash players, golfers, dancers, musicians, and competitive athletes, including high school, collegiate, and professional athletes. Programs are individualized around the movements and demands of each activity.
